Sorry, My Hero Academia Fans. The Manga's Best Spinoff Will Come To an End Soon
Introduction
The year 2024 has been a remarkable yet emotional one for the My Hero Academia fanbase. After a decade of continuous serialization, the main manga came to its conclusion on August 5, 2024. Deku’s journey saw a brief resurgence with the release of a touching epilogue that unveiled the futures of the Class 1-A students, bringing the series to a definitive close.
However, fans should brace themselves for another farewell, as the spin-off manga Team-Up Missions is also scheduled to conclude in February 2025. The final chapter will appear in Saikyo Jump Magazine, a publication aimed at younger readers. Once this chapter is released, there will be no further manga series set in the My Hero Academia universe.
Team-Up Missions Spin-Off Manga to Conclude in 2025

According to an Amazon listing, the last chapter of My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions will be featured in the February issue of Saikyo Jump Magazine. This spin-off, illustrated by Yoko Akiyama, launched in 2019 and followed Deku and his friends as they embarked on light-hearted and enjoyable adventures alongside popular characters from the main series. Although it wasn’t as widely popular as the original manga, the spin-off held a special place in the hearts of a younger audience and many loyal fans.
The announcement of its end came as a surprise, especially since it was made only a few months after the main series concluded. With the original story wrapping up, it would likely be difficult for a spin-off to sustain a consistent audience, which is likely the reason behind its closure. As of December 2024, there is little known about the final chapter, but more information is expected to be revealed in January 2025. The magazine containing the concluding chapter is scheduled to ship on February 4, 2025.
The Anime: The Franchise’s Last Remaining Stronghold

Although the end of another My Hero Academia manga series may be disheartening for fans, there is still plenty of new content on the horizon. The seventh and final season of the anime has been confirmed for a Fall 2025 release. This season will cover the climactic conclusion of the highly acclaimed Final War arc, continuing from where the previous season left off. Fans can look forward to spectacular battle scenes as Studio Bones once again brings the story to life with its exceptional animation.
Additionally, during Jump Festa 2025, it was announced that My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, a spin-off manga series, will be receiving an anime adaptation. The story follows Koichi Haimawari, a would-be hero who missed his chance to take the hero exam after saving someone from drowning. Determined to help people like his idol, All Might, Koichi takes on the role of a vigilante, a dangerous and illegal pursuit. This anime adaptation is set to premiere in April 2025 and could become as popular as the main series.
Cherishing the Final Chapters of My Hero Academia
As the My Hero Academia franchise approaches its inevitable conclusion in both manga and anime form, fans should prepare for the day when new content will no longer be produced. However, My Hero Academia will continue to be one of the most beloved franchises for years to come. Now more than ever, it’s time for followers of Kohei Horikoshi’s work to savor and appreciate the remaining moments of this extraordinary story.
