Solo Leveling PAUSE Due To An Accident
Solo Leveling: Ragnarök Put on Hold Due to Author's Accident
The ongoing release of Solo Leveling's hit sequel has been temporarily paused following an unfortunate accident involving its writer, Daul. According to a recent statement by webtoon publisher KakaoPage, Daul was struck by a vehicle while walking. Although the injuries sustained are not life-threatening or severe, the author will need to spend an extended period in the hospital for recovery.
Thankfully, Daul's condition is improving, but due to the injuries, production of Solo Leveling: Ragnarök has been put on hold. The hiatus will run from December 30, 2024, until January 3, 2025. Fans of the Solo Leveling series have already come together to offer their heartfelt well-wishes, hoping for Daul's speedy and full recovery.
Solo Leveling: Ragnarök Continues to Follow in the Footsteps of Its Predecessor

Following the massive success of the original Solo Leveling webtoon and its anime adaptation, the eagerly awaited sequel, Solo Leveling: Ragnarök, launched in July 2024. Since its premiere, Ragnarök has quickly become one of the most popular webtoons worldwide, with its first chapter amassing nearly three million views within just 48 hours—numbers that even the original series would be proud of.
This is not the first time the health of Solo Leveling creators has impacted the series. In July 2022, Jang “Dubu” Sung Rak, the 37-year-old lead illustrator of the Solo Leveling webtoon adaptation, tragically passed away from a brain hemorrhage, a condition reportedly linked to his long battle with chronic illness.
